

The polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.Īll polling locations are handicap accessible and equipped with voter assist terminals. We can help determine where you should vote. If you move during the 30 days preceding an election you may be eligible to vote one last time in your prior polling location. You must have lived at your registered address for the 30 days preceding an election in order to vote. Voters who are not in possession of their ID while in the polls may sign an affidavit. You are not required to show your voter ID card to vote, just present photo ID. This information is also available on the Michigan Voter Information Center website at the link above. Newly registered voters and voters who move into the township are sent a voter ID card with polling location and district information. There are 32 precincts in Shelby Township, each with an assigned polling location.

It is important to note that the address on your voter registration must match the address on your MI driver’s license or state ID a change in one will be automatically reflected on the other. You may also register to vote by mail or in person at the local Clerk's Office, the County Clerk’s Office, military recruitment offices or specified agencies for clients receiving services. Voter registration is now automatic during driver’s license or state ID transactions at Michigan Secretary of State branch offices.
